Yes or no wheel

Ask your question, spin the wheel and let it answer. Each spin is an independent 50/50 draw, or one in three with “Maybe”.

Click the wheel or press Ctrl+Enter to spin.

The wheel says

How to use it

  1. Think of a question that can be answered with yes or no.
  2. Press Spin or click the wheel.
  3. Read the answer. Spin again for best of three, or add “Maybe” for a third option.

How the yes or no wheel works

The wheel always has as many “Yes” slices as “No” slices, so both answers have exactly the same chance. Changing the number of slices per answer only changes how the wheel looks, not the odds. With “Maybe” turned on, each answer has a one-in-three chance.

When a coin toss is not enough

A spinning wheel builds a little suspense, which is why it works so well in class, on a stream or at a party. Use it for small choices: dessert or no dessert, movie or series, go out or stay in. For anything important, treat it as a game, not as advice.

Questions and answers

Is it really 50/50?

Yes. Both answers have the same number of slices of the same size, and the result is drawn with your browser’s secure random generator, so each spin is an independent 50% chance.

Can I add my own answers?

For custom answers such as “Ask again later”, use the main wheel and type your own options. This page is made for quick yes, no and maybe answers.

Does the last answer affect the next one?

No. Every spin is independent: three “Yes” answers in a row are exactly as likely as any other sequence.
